What is Aptis?
Aptis has been developed by experts from the British Council in the field of language assessment based on the findings of current applied linguistics.
The exam consists of a core grammar and vocabulary test combined with the other components: reading comprehension, writing comprehension, listening comprehension and speaking.
Different Aptis exams
Aptis General, an exam for adults (over 16 years old) that can be used to certify the English level A1-A2-B1-B2- C.
Aptis Advanced unlike Aptis General has its optimal point of discrimination precisely at English levels C1 and C2.
Aptis for Teachers is a variant of Aptis General. It has been specifically designed to help teachers and other candidates working in the education sector.
Aptis for Young People is an English assessment test developed by the British Council and designed specifically for students between 13 and 17 years old.
